The deadlocking is controlled by a snib in the forend. When the snib is in its up position, the lock will deadlock when the door closes and can only be opened by a key and by the thumbturn. When the snib is in its down position, the hookbolt is retained inside the lock case. The lock case works with the 4662 striker plate. Mortice standard: OneFit
