Inform personnel of explosives with a mass explosion hazard in transit.Placards and Labels meet the requirements as specified by Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Directorate in Part 4, Dangerous Goods Safety marks, and IMDG requirements.These marks are required as proper identification and classification of dangerous goods for transport and shipment. They provide a quick means of identification under the main hazard classification, where some have divisions. These placards and labels contain standardized and mandated colors, along with symbols to identify the hazardous material in a diamond (square-on-point) format - unless otherwise illustrated.

  • Division 1.1 consists of explosives that have a mass explosion hazard. A mass explosion is one which affects almost the entire load instantaneously
  • Group D includes a secondary detonating explosive substance or black powder or article containing a secondary detonating explosive substance, without means of initiation or propelling charge
