Chapin's 8003A residential ice melt spreader is perfect for the homeowner. The 70-pound capacity poly hopper is easy to push along a driveway or the sidewalk. It's supported by a powder-coated steel frame and has a U-shaped handle. Pull the handle, fill the hopper, set your adjustable gate and start spreading. 9-inch pneumatic tires provide traction on snow and ice and the adjustable side and front baffles control your spread so you're not going over on your lawn or other areas. The auger and gate work well with ice melt, halite and smaller particulates. This unit is not recommended for use with rock salt, sand, or sand mixes. Made in the USA with global materials.
