BEA's Bodyguard is an overhead presence sensor designed for pedestrian automatic doors. It is designed to prevent a closed door from opening and an open door from closing when a person is in the detection zone. When combined with the BEA SuperScan, it's capable of meeting ANSI 156.10 standard for swing door safety.

- Diffused Active Infrared Technology.
- Provides safety with two separate patterns:
- 1. Door fully open
- 2. Door fully closed. Door open pattern allows for threshold protection.
