Mutual Industries 17682 Silt and Debris Inlet Cover for Construction Sites

This 2’ x 4’ inlet cover reduces the amount of silt and debris that may enter a stormwater inlet during construction.

Our inlet cover is used for reducing the amount of silt and debris that may enter a storm water inlet near a contstruction, excavation, or remediation site and helps keep area in conformance with local and state conservation regulations. This product uses a dual layer of non-woven polyporpylene filter geotextile. The water passes through the fabric leaving the silt trapped in the geotextile layers.

Two Layers of PA DOT Class 1 non-woven geotextile are used as the filtering medium. The class of geotextile has been specified by the DOT in many filtratio, drainage and seperation applications. Geotextiles have a proven record for being effective, durable, and economical. Sediment deposits, which accumulated on the inlet mat geotextile, can be easily brushed or hosed off.
