The FM_SLISF Series Full Mortise Short Leaf Inset Continuous Geared Safety Hinge is designed for new door applications in child care and nursing facilities where inset conforms to SDI specifications for aligning doors and frames. This hinge, which features a 1/8" inset, provides extra safety measures and may require additional clearance.

- Standard and heavy duty versions available
- Applied to conceal both leaves for safety and security
- Certain door and frame conditions may require an extra 1/32"-1/16" clearance
- Excessive clearance on fire rated assemblies may violate NFPA 80 requirements
- Guaranteed for the life of the opening against defects in material or workmanship
- Additional space between the door and frame prevents finger pinching
- Bearing design eliminates premature wear and guarantees proper alignment
- Assembly is anodized after machining is done, providing a consistent finish
- Certifications:- Health Product Declaration (HPD), UL 10C - Standard for Positive Pressure Fire Tests of Door Assemblies, ANSI/BHMA Standard A156.26
- Note:- Safety (SF) hinges are not UL labeled and do not have Fire Pins. Door edge must be square on hinge side. For beveled edge doors, additional clearances are required.
