The EH28 × 587 arm, is a single-acting, center-hung floor closer designed for power transfer from the frame to the door through the closer spindle for interior or exterior doors weighing up to 500lbs.

- H340 top pivot included
- Available non-hold open (N) or selective hold open (S) at same degree as dead stop
- Built-in positive dead stop prevents doors from swinging beyond the desired opening degree; specify 85°, 90°, 95° or 105°
- Provides power transfer through closer spindle; low voltage, class II wiring (2 wire, 18 gauge only)
- Separate and independent valves for closing speed, latch speed, and backcheck
- Cast iron cement case
- Not allowed for fire rated doors
- Frame stop required on the header at lock side; if not supplied by frame manufacturer, Norton Rixson 60131 recommended
- 2" minimum door thickness
- 587 is a special side load arm for 1-3/4" thick doors; this arm allows pivot point to be moved away from pivot edge of door - minimum 2-3/4" backset
- Available with floor plate or threshold installation
- Furnished with wood and machine screws
- Door sizes up to 4'0" × 8'6" (1219 × 2591mm)
