Frequently Asked Questions
Knob vs pull — which should I use?
Knobs are single-point grips that suit doors and small drawers. Bar and wire pulls span two mounting holes and are easier to grab on wide drawers. Match center-to-center (CTC) on pulls to the existing hole spacing or new template. See the selection guide.
What does center-to-center (CTC) mean on a cabinet pull?
Center-to-center is the spacing between mounting screw holes. Measure existing holes before replacing a pull, or pick a Length / Center to Center option that matches your door or drawer prep.
What is soft-close cabinet hardware?
Soft-close hinges and drawer slides dampen the last inch of travel so doors and drawers close quietly. Many European concealed hinges and undermount slides include soft-close as a built-in or add-on feature.
Cam lock vs drawer deadbolt vs latch lock?
Cam locks turn a cam behind the door or drawer face. Drawer deadbolts throw a bolt into the frame (including Best IC bodies). Latch locks use a spring latch. Browse the cabinet locks hub for the full set.
What is an IC core cabinet lock?
Interchangeable-core (IC) lock bodies accept Best, Schlage or similar cores so facilities can rekey without replacing the lock. Shop IC core cabinet locks and confirm core format on the product page.
